The Roommate system is neat but I actually like getting pets, decorating, and building stuff for the Townies so that I can visit them. I want to try to combine two aspects of that into a mod.įinally, I actually like progressing or trying to help my Townies. In the PS2 The Sims, there was a mode called “Get a Life”, and I thought it was actually really interesting and a lot of fun. Now, there are interactions like these in Sims 4 but for the most part, there’s no real such system.īesides Sims 2, I actually really liked the Playstation 2 version of the Sims. If a Sim was angry at you in Sims 2, they’d try to sneak to your lot and kick something. In Sims 2, when something happened, it’d changed a Sims interaction for days.

There’s lots of interactions from Sims 2 that I miss in Sims 4. Sims 2 is my favorite, and if it weren’t for a few things, it has aged well IMO. This is not to say I hate it, or that it's bad-it's an excellent idea-but I personally don't want to play with it-I like to write the events down as they happen, and I get into the entire household events, so by losing this control I feel that I'm losing half of the reason I play the game.I am working on a mod called “ Townie Role Progression / Story Adventures” and potentially a “ Boss Mode” mod to go along with it. True, it does slow down the play, but I don't miss the big things that go on. It is a grand idea for those who want to try the SP out, but my micromanager twin is very unhappy and it would rather play with each house as I get to it. So you start out on Monday, and go all the way through to Tuesday, all houses will be on Tuesday, no matter what you wanted to do.

So if I'm on the first house, all the houses are passing the same amount of time at that, and you have no control over what happens. The way it works is that you start on the same day in each house in the neighborhood, and the hours progress at the same time for all houses-and it passes at the same time as the house you're focused on. I've discovered that I don't like to use the SP (and if you don't use all the features, why bother to use it at all?) because it takes away my control of the neighborhood, and I'm missing out on a lot of the stuff that goes on in the NH. I've been playing around with this a bit, and while it's a great mod, (and Lazy Duchess is a genius for doing it), I cannot play with this.
